Audit Director

Are you a forward-thinking audit leader looking for a senior role where your impact will shape the future of the firm?

We’re currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and ambitious accountancy firm in London, seeking an experienced Audit Director to join their senior leadership team. This is a pivotal role suited to a qualified audit professional with Responsible Individual (RI) status, looking to play a key role in shaping the future of a dynamic and growing firm.

You’ll be part of a collaborative leadership group and take ownership of complex audits, team development, client relationships, and regulatory compliance.

With a strong client base spanning sectors such as property, retail, professional services, and owner-managed businesses, this firm offers a stimulating environment and clear route to further progression.

Role Responsibilities

• Act as RI on a portfolio of audit assignments, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
• Lead and manage a team of audit professionals, providing technical guidance and mentorship
• Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of complex audits
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships at board and senior management level
• Work closely with fellow directors and partners to drive strategic growth
• Play a key role in technical quality control, risk management, and regulatory updates
• Support business development initiatives and represent the firm in new client proposals

Candidate Requirements

• ACA or ACCA qualified with current RI status (essential)

• Strong technical knowledge of UK auditing standards and financial reporting frameworks
• Commercial awareness and confidence in advising senior stakeholders
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
• Ambition to contribute to the strategic direction and long-term success of the firm
