Job summary

EY in Glasgow is seeking an Audit Data Strategist who combines analytical thinking, business understanding and emerging technologies to help provide confidence in numbers and improve the audit experience.

You will collaborate with audit teams and clients to design data-driven solutions, shape approaches, communicate insights and influence decisions for high-quality audits. The role offers development, exposure to tenders, and hybrid working with time in EY offices or client sites.

Qualifications

• Audit or accounting knowledge and understanding of the audit process.
• Experience using data, technology and AI to solve problems and generate insights.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team engagement.

Responsibilities

• Support a portfolio of audit engagements and understand audit approach, risks and opportunities.
• Obtain, prepare, check and analyse data to support audit procedures.
• Agree data requirements with audit teams and clients and explain technical matters clearly.
• Coordinate work through its lifecycle, covering scope, timing, dependencies and delivery risks.
• Review work, coordinate delivery and support colleagues as experience grows.
• Learn and apply Thrive Time and other development opportunities to improve ways of working.
