Job summary

EY in the United Kingdom seeks an Audit Data Strategist to combine analytics, business understanding and emerging technologies to strengthen the audit experience and deliver data-driven insights.

You'll work alongside audit teams and clients, shaping approaches, communicating insights, and growing your data delivery and audit capabilities through Thrive Time and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong literacy, numeracy and critical-thinking skills; ability to analyse information and communicate conclusions clearly.
• Audit or accounting knowledge, including understanding of audit risks and the audit process.
• Experience using data, technology and AI to solve problems and generate insights, while protecting sensitive information.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outputs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with audit teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Support a portfolio of audit engagements, understanding the audit approach, risks and opportunities to use data and technology.
• Obtain, prepare, check and analyse data to support audit procedures and provide insights with guidance from a senior strategist.
• Work with audit teams and clients to agree data requirements, explain technical matters clearly and manage delivery challenges.
• Coordinate work through its lifecycle including scope, timing, dependencies, documentation and delivery risks.
• Take increasing responsibility for reviewing work, coordinating delivery and supporting colleagues as experience grows.
• Use Thrive Time and other opportunities to learn, explore new technology and responsibly experiment with ideas.
