Job summary

EY is offering a school leaver role within the Assurance team in Guernsey, starting late August 2027, with training and accreditation support. You will review client financial information and assist with audit engagements across industries, building relationships and developing your professional skills.

You will work with ACCA/ICAEW study pursuit, bring strong communication, teamwork, and IT skills, and be prepared to learn and adapt in a supportive, client‑facing environment.

Qualifications

• Motivation to study towards the ACCA or ICAEW professional qualification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Strong IT skills and project management capability is a plus.
• Educational background open to school leavers, with emphasis on potential rather than UCAS points.

Responsibilities

• Review and assess client financial information across industries.
• Develop understanding of clients' businesses through research and engagement with client teams.
• Build and maintain professional relationships and provide updates during the audit process.
• Analyse financial data and documentation to identify risks and ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Assist in planning and delivering audit engagements as part of a wider team.
• Prepare audit documentation and working papers in line with professional standards.
