Job summary

EY Channel Islands is hiring an Assurance (Audit) Associate School Leaver for Guernsey, starting August 2027. You’ll join a business-focused audit team, learning how to review financial information and engage with clients while working toward ACCA/ICAEW qualifications.

Qualifications

• Motivation to study towards ACCA/ ICAEW professional qualification to become a Chartered Certified Accountant
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively with others
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing circumstances

Responsibilities

• Work with a variety of clients across different industries, helping to review and assess their financial information.
• Develop an understanding of clients' businesses and the markets they operate in through research and engagement with client teams.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with clients while collecting information and providing updates throughout the audit process.
• Analyse financial data, supporting documentation and other information to identify risks and ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Assist in planning and delivering audit engagements as part of a wider team.
• Prepare audit documentation, testing and working papers in line with professional standards.
• Attend client meetings and collaborate with colleagues across different teams and service lines.
• Contribute to the preparation of reports and communicate findings to senior team members.
• Take an active role in your professional development by building technical, analytical and problem-solving skills while studying towards a professional qualification.
