Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting an Audit Assistant Manager for a well-established firm in West Berkshire. The role leads audit engagements, supervises junior team members and grows management skills within a structured progression path to Manager.

You will manage assignments from planning to completion, review work for standards compliance, and maintain strong client relationships while coordinating with other departments to deliver a seamless service.

Qualifications

• Chartered accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA) or equivalent
• Experience leading external audits from planning to completion
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and proactive problem-solving

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee audit engagements from planning to completion
• Review audit work to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards
• Prepare and review statutory accounts for various entity types
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and provide guidance
• Supervise and mentor junior team members
• Coordinate with other departments to deliver seamless client service
