Job summary

Michael Page International Recruitment Limited is partnering with a nationally recognised firm in Preston to recruit an Audit Assistant Manager. You will lead audit assignments, oversee fieldwork and mentor junior staff within a growing practice.

Based in Preston with hybrid working options, the role offers opportunities to develop client relationships, contribute to planning and budgeting, and progress within a dynamic audit team across diverse sectors.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification (or finalist with relevant experience)
• Experience leading audits in an accountancy practice
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• Strong organisation and ability to manage multiple assignments
• Proactive approach and desire to progress in a growing firm

Responsibilities

• Leading audit assignments for a varied client portfolio.
• Managing fieldwork and reviewing audit files.
• Liaising with clients and building strong working relationships.
• Supervising, mentoring and developing junior team members.
• Assisting with audit planning, budgeting and resource allocation.
• Identifying opportunities to add value and improve client service.
• Supporting Managers and Partners with business development initiatives where appropriate.
