Job summary

Pro-Finance in Blackburn is seeking an experienced Audit Assistant Manager to join a growing accountancy practice. You will lead audit engagements, plan, execute and complete assignments, and supervise junior staff while building strong client relationships.

The ideal candidate has strong audit experience, a professional qualification such as ACA or ACCA (or working towards), and excellent communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in accountancy practice and audit work.
• ACA or ACCA (or in progress) is preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and accounting frameworks.
• Experience supervising junior staff and reviewing work.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and deliver audit assignments from start to finish.
• Work with Audit Managers and Responsible Individuals to ensure high-quality audits.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
• Review audit work performed by junior team members.
• Supervise, coach and develop junior audit staff.
• Serve as the main client contact throughout the audit process.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Identify and resolve issues arising during audits.
• Manage multiple assignments and priorities effectively.
• Assist Managers and Partners with client delivery.
• Contribute to improvements in audit processes and ways of working.
