Job summary

LHH seeks an Audit Assistant Manager in Nottingham to join a growing Audit & Assurance team. The role involves overseeing audits for diverse client portfolios and developing junior staff within a supportive environment.

You will supervise, coach and review juniors, manage client relationships and ensure delivery from planning to finalisation while adhering to UK auditing standards. Hybrid and flexible working options available.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience in an external audit role in practice.
• Strong knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards.
• Experience supervising, coaching and reviewing junior staff.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage audit engagements from planning through to completion.
• Lead fieldwork and act as main client contact during engagements.
• Review work of juniors and provide guidance.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts and audit documentation.
• Identify risks and deliver practical recommendations to clients.
• Manage budgets, timelines and resource allocation across multiple assignments.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Assist with development and training of junior staff.
