Job summary

Grant Thornton UK is seeking an Assistant Manager in Audit to support a growing client base within a dynamic, evolving market. You will manage external audits for financial services clients, lead day-to-day client communications, and ensure high-quality reporting and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum criteria: professional qualification (ACA, CA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Experience of managing statutory audits for financial services clients.

Responsibilities

• Consistently meet deadlines and understand commercial implications on productivity, recoverability, fee income and client service.
• Be the key client contact on day-to-day matters and lead on large, technically complex clients; highlight issues to the partner and recommend actions.
• Provide regular communication and feedback, and support training and development for yourself and others.
• Act as a trusted business adviser, manage key client portfolios and build relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Organise and attend office marketing events, propose innovative services to meet client needs, and present proposals for new work.

Education

ACA, CA or ACCA or equivalent
