Job summary

Accountable-Recruitment is seeking an Audit Assistant Manager in Liverpool to oversee audit assignments and lead a team within a growing North West practice. You will manage client portfolios and develop leadership experience.

You will supervise junior staff, review work, and ensure compliance with deadlines while preparing statutory accounts and delivering high-quality audits across a varied client base.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified or approaching qualification.
• Strong external audit experience within a UK accountancy practice.
• Experience managing assignments across the complete audit cycle.

Responsibilities

• Managing audit assignments from initial planning through to completion.
• Leading audit teams and ensuring work is completed accurately and on time.
• Acting as a key contact for clients throughout the audit process.

A leading and ambitious North West accountancy practice is looking to appoint an Assistant Audit Manager to its Liverpool team, paying £42,000 - £47,000. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of audit assignments, develop your leadership experience and work with a varied portfolio of clients.

Audit Assistant Manager Responsibilities:

• Managing audit assignments from initial planning through to completion.


• Leading audit teams and ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently and within agreed deadlines.


• Acting as a key point of contact for clients throughout the audit process.


• Reviewing audit files and work completed by junior and part-qualified colleagues.


• Identifying audit risks and helping to resolve technical issues.


• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts alongside audit assignments.

Audit Assistant Manager Attributes:

• ACA or ACCA qualified or approaching qualification.


• Strong external audit experience gained within a UK accountancy practice.


• Experience managing assignments across the complete audit cycle.


• Confident supervising, coaching and reviewing the work of junior colleagues.
