A growing mid-tier accountancy practice in Liverpool is looking for an Audit Assistant Manager. This role offers the opportunity to manage audit assignments, mentor junior staff, and build strong client relationships while enjoying a supportive and flexible working environment.
Are you an experienced Audit Senior ready to take the next step in your career? We're looking for an Audit Assistant Manager to join a growing and dynamic mid-tier accountancy practice based in Liverpool.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong audit experience, ideally gained within a mid-tier or independent firm, and who enjoys working closely with SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and smaller entities across a range of sectors. As Audit Assistant Manager, you'll play a key role in the delivery of audit assignments from planning through to completion, leading teams on-site and building trusted relationships with clients. You'll work closely with Audit Managers and Partners, helping to oversee audit quality, coach junior staff, and ensure smooth client service.
Key Responsibilities
Leading audit engagements across a portfolio of small to medium-sized entities
Assisting in planning, execution, and completion stages of audit work
Supervising, mentoring and reviewing work of junior team members
Building strong client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
Identifying risk and providing practical solutions to clients
About You
ACA/ACCA qualified or finalist/equivalent
Strong audit background, ideally from a mid-tier or independent firm
Experience managing or mentoring junior staff
Comfortable dealing directly with business owners and finance teams
Strong technical knowledge and commercial awareness
What's on Offer
Salary between 45,000 - 50,000, dependent on experience
