Qualifications

My client is a multi-award winning, Top 100, firm of Chartered Accountants. They are looking for an Audit and Accounts Senior to join their office in York.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of financial statements using FRS105, FRS102, FRS102 section 1a and group accounts
  • Assist with planning, fieldwork and completion of audits using an electronic audit file system under the guidance of a manager/partner
  • Supervision and development of junior staff including delegation/review
  • Some on-site audits but mostly working from York office
  • Client portfolio is diverse with a broad mix of industries and company sizes, mostly SMEs with some non-small/more complex businesses
  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients and their staff
  • Preparation of draft Corporation tax computations
  • Other ad hoc duties as directed by a manager

Requirements:

  • Have worked in an accountancy practice experience on audit assignments including planning and finalisation
  • ACA or ACCA qualified, or part-qualified working towards full qualification.
  • Good IT skills, mainly excel and word, with some experience with popular accounting software products (Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
