Description

• Lead audit projects from start to finish, managing the team, engaging with clients, identifying risks, and ensuring compliance with UK standards.
• Handle financial statements and accounts, with strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS, resolving complex accounting issues with partners.
• Oversee accounts preparation for clients, including tax returns, and ensure timely submissions to HMRC and Companies House.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing advice and problem-solving support.
• Mentor junior staff, review their work, and promote a positive team environment.
• Identify opportunities for business growth and collaborate with partners to secure new work.
• Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring deadlines are met and clients are well-informed.

Profile

• Semi-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA), preferably nearing completion of exams or with substantial experience.
• Minimum of 2 years' practice experience, with exposure to audit and accounts preparation; mixed roles are advantageous.
• Strong understanding of UK GAAP and experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
