Equation Recruitment is seeking an ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified Audit and Accounts Senior for a respected Banbury accountancy firm. You will lead audits, prepare financial statements, and advise clients in a client-facing role.

Hybrid working (60% office), structured career progression, study support, and a varied client base across academies, not-for-profits, agriculture and corporate sectors await. Salary £35,000-£45,000 with pension, healthcare, and a car allowance.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA fully or part-qualified (or AAT)
• Minimum 2 years experience in an accountancy practice, ideally in audit and accounts preparation
• Strong analytical skills with ability to solve problems and provide proactive client solutions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships
• A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel to client sites are required for audit work
• Experience using Xero, Sage 50, and other accounting software is a plus

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits and prepare financial statements
• Work closely with clients, providing expert financial insights and tax planning advice
• Review and prepare client accounts and business tax computations to a high standard
• Lead and supervise audit assignments, remotely or at client sites
• Support and mentor junior staff, developing technical and professional skills

The Role:
