Sheridan Maine is working in partnership with a respected and growing accountancy practice in Birmingham to recruit an Audit & Accounts Semi-Senior. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant looking to gain broad client exposure, develop their technical skills, and progress within a supportive and professional firm.

The Role:
As an Audit & Accounts Semi-Senior, you’ll be involved in a mix of audit and accounts preparation work for a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of industries, including owner-managed businesses, SMEs, and charities.

Your responsibilities as the Audit & Accounts Semi Senior will include:

Assist with the planning and execution of audits.

Prepare statutory accounts in compliance with UK GAAP and FRS102.

Support clients with bookkeeping, VAT returns, and management accounts as required.

Liaise with clients directly to gather information and ensure timely delivery of work.

Work closely with seniors, managers, and partners to develop your knowledge and technical ability.

Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate.

To be considered for the role of Audit & Accounts Semi Senior:

Part or recently qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA.

A solid grounding in both audit and accounts preparation.

Strong communication skills and confidence when dealing with clients.

Ability to manage deadlines and multiple assignments effectively.

A proactive approach and a desire to build a long-term career in practice.
