Job Title: Audit and Accounts Manager

We're exclusively recruiting for an Audit and Accounts Manager to join one of Kent's most prestigious chartered accountancy practices. Our client is a successful practice based in Kent, specializing in supporting owner-managed businesses. Due to recent growth, they now have an opportunity for a full-time role supporting the senior team with statutory audit and accounts services for a broad range of clients.

You will gain fantastic exposure and be offered excellent career prospects. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing audits from planning to completion
• Preparing accounts and tax computations for diverse clients
• Leading a client portfolio, resource planning, and managing WIP and budgets
• Building trusted client relationships and providing support
• Reviewing fee development opportunities with commercial awareness
• Presenting work confidently to Partners and ensuring high-quality file completion
• Ensuring compliance with current legislation and standards
• Handling client queries and maintaining clear communication
• Providing quotes and estimating fees
• Assisting with new client pitches and networking to promote business
• Mentoring and delegating work to trainees, supporting their development

Requirements

• Hold an ACA or ACCA qualification
• Experience managing a portfolio of owner-managed and SME clients
• Experience in planning and executing audits, analytical reviews, and accounts preparation
• Experience supervising internal and on-site teams
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail, able to meet multiple deadlines
