Job summary

Blusource Finance Limited in Wisbech is seeking a Semi-Senior to Senior Accountant to join a mixed Audit and Accounts role, with 60% Audit and 40% Accounts. The firm promises long-term progression, strong study support, and market-leading pay and benefits.

You will lead and supervise audit engagements, prepare statutory financial statements, and work with tax teams as required, with exposure to client-facing duties and modern accounting software such as Xero or Sage.

Qualifications

• Exposure to accounts preparation and client-facing responsibilities.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, Sage) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage audit engagements, from planning to finalisation
• Supervise and mentor audit teams, ensuring compliance with audit methodologies
• Review audit workpapers and ensure adherence to UK GAAP, IFRS, and auditing standards
• Identify and evaluate audit risks; develop and implement risk mitigation strategies
• Liaise with clients to gather information and address audit queries
• Prepare and review statutory financial statements for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
• Assist in the preparation of management accounts and other financial reports
• Ensure accuracy and compliance of accounting records and supporting schedules
• Support the year-end accounts package and liaise with tax teams as required
