Job summary

Butler Rose North Practice is recruiting an Audit & Accounts Senior to join its growing team in Hull / Beverley. You will work directly with a Partner, lead a portfolio of audit assignments, and contribute to accounts preparation and CT600 returns.

The role requires UK practice audit experience, ability to manage multiple assignments, strong client-facing skills, and a proactive, well-organised approach. Qualified by experience candidates may be considered.

Qualifications

• UK accountancy practice audit experience required.
• Experience leading audit assignments.
• Strong accounts preparation experience.
• Knowledge of corporation tax and CT600s.
• The ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• The confidence to work closely with Partners and clients.
• A proactive, organised and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Undertake audit fieldwork at client premises when required.
• Prepare statutory and year-end accounts for a range of clients.
• Prepare CT600 Corporation Tax Returns.
• Liaise closely with the tax department to provide information and assistance with personal tax returns.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
• Ensure assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Support more junior members of the team where appropriate.

ButlerRose North Practice is delighted to be working with an established accountancy practice who is looking to recruit an experienced Audit & Accounts Senior to join its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role across audit, accounts and corporation tax. You will work directly with a Partner and take responsibility for leading a portfolio of audit assignments, while also being involved in a significant amount of accounts preparation work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working directly with a Partner on a portfolio of clients.
• Leading and managing audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Undertaking audit fieldwork at client premises when required.
• Preparing statutory and year-end accounts for a range of clients.
• Preparing CT600 Corporation Tax Returns.
• Liaising closely with the tax department to provide information and assistance with personal tax returns.

Personal Requirements:

• Previous audit experience within a UK accountancy practice.
