TPF Recruitment is recruiting an Audit & Accounts Semi Senior to join a relaxed, independent firm of accountants in Tunbridge Wells. This role focuses on accounts and tax for owner-managed businesses with audit up to 25% of workload.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within an accountancy practice, including accounts preparation and tax work.
• AAT qualifications or be studying towards ACA or ACCA. Candidates with relevant practical experience will also be considered.
• A developing understanding of accounts preparation and tax compliance for owner managed businesses.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines with support.
• Confidence communicating with clients and colleagues.
• A friendly, collaborative approach and a willingness to learn.
• Previous audit experience would be beneficial, although candidates with a strong accounts background who are keen to gain audit exposure are encouraged to apply.
• This opportunity could suit an Accounts Assistant ready to progress or an existing Semi Senior looking for a varied role within a relaxed, independent practice.

Responsibilities

• Preparing year end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, for review by senior colleagues.
• Preparing corporation tax computations and assisting with tax compliance.
• Undertaking bookkeeping and preparing VAT returns where required.
• Assisting with audit planning, fieldwork and completion, representing up to 25% of your workload.
• Liaising with clients to obtain information and respond to routine accounts and tax queries.
• Working closely with colleagues to meet deadlines and deliver an excellent service

TPF Recruitment is recruiting for an Audit & Accounts Semi Senior to join a relaxed, independent firm of accountants based in Tunbridge Wells.
