Job summary

Insite Group in Harrow is seeking an Audit and Accounts Semi Senior to join a growing practice and take on greater responsibility.

You'll split your time around 70% audit and 30% accounts, strengthening audit experience while maintaining grounding in wider practice work, with opportunities to progress as the firm grows.

• Supporting audits from planning through to completion.

• Assisting with corporation tax computations and returns.
• Producing reconciliations, schedules and supporting accounts work.
• Liaising directly with clients and building strong relationships.
• Identifying issues and raising them with senior team members.
• Supporting junior colleagues as experience grows.
• Taking on increasing responsibility as technical knowledge grows.

Based near Harrow, the role offers an approximate 70% audit / 30% accounts split, giving you the opportunity to strengthen your audit experience while maintaining a solid grounding across wider practice work.

The opportunity

As an Audit and Accounts Semi Senior, you'll work closely with senior members of the team and gain exposure to a varied portfolio of clients. This is a role where development is genuinely important, with plenty of scope to take on more complex assignments and progress as the practice continues to grow.

You'll be involved in:

• Supporting audits from planning through to completion
• Preparing audit working papers and carrying out substantive testing
• Working across a varied portfolio of owner-managed and larger businesses
• Preparing statutory accounts under UK GAAP
• Assisting with corporation tax computations and returns

What we're looking for

You'll ideally have previous experience within a UK accountancy practice and be comfortable working across audit and accounts.

We're particularly interested in candidates who are:

• ACA or ACCA part-qualified, studying towards a qualification, or qualified by experience
• Experienced in external audit within practice
• Confident working with financial statements and audit documentation
• Comfortable managing deadlines across multiple assignments
• Commercially aware with strong client communication skills
• Naturally curious and keen to understand the businesses behind the numbers
• Ambitious, proactive and genuinely hungry for development
