Job summary

VANRATH are delighted to be working with a highly successful and well-established accountancy practice in Belfast to recruit an Audit & Accounts Manager.

This hands-on role involves owning a diverse client portfolio, overseeing audit and accounts from planning through to completion, and leading and developing a team. You will regularly visit client sites, build relationships with business owners and senior stakeholders, and provide commercially focused advisory support alongside core audit work.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA or ACCA.
• Proven experience managing audit and accounts teams.
• Strong communication and client relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of audit and accounts clients across a range of sectors and client sizes.
• Plan, manage and complete audit assignments from initial planning through to completion.
• Review statutory accounts and financial statements with high technical accuracy.
• Prepare and review accounts and corporation tax computations where required.
• Attend client sites and develop strong relationships with clients.
• Act as a trusted contact, understanding clients' businesses and identifying opportunities to add value.
• Supervise, review and support junior and trainee team members.
• Delegate effectively and coach/mentor the team.
• Work closely with senior team on complex client matters and advisory needs.
• Contribute to practice growth and client base development.
