Job summary

Clark Wood Limited in Exeter is seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Manager to join a leading Top 40 firm. You will manage a varied portfolio of clients, with workload split around 70% audit and 30% accounts, reporting directly to the lead Audit Partner.

The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified, with extensive audit management experience in practice, and strong leadership skills to develop the team and uphold high standards.

Clark Wood are delighted to be working with this highly regarded, Top 40 firm of chartered accountants who are looking to add an Audit & Accounts Manager to their team in Exeter.

This leading firm have an excellent presence across the area, and as a result of sustained growth and success, they are now keen to add a personable and professional Audit & Accounts Manager who can help to enhance their excellent reputation.

As a Manager in the Exeter office you will work directly with the lead Audit Partner and will be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of clients from a broad range of industry sectors.

The workload within the role will be weighted towards audit over accounts to an approximate split of 70:30.

You will be responsible for managing the audit process from planning through to completion, ensuring the deployment of appropriate staff levels for each assignment. You will be responsible for reviewing year-end accounts prepared by members of your team, ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards before they go out to your clients.

Aside from the client management responsibilities the successful person will also contribute to the day to day management and training of the team.

The ideal individual for the role will be ACA / ACCA qualified and will have a wealth of audit experience from an established practice background with previous management experience.
