Job summary

Confidential is seeking an Audit & Accounts Assistant in Bath to join a growing independent practice with a strong audit focus and exposure to a diverse client base. The role offers study support toward ACA/ACCA and a clear path to develop technical skills within audit, accounts, tax and advisory services.

You will work with experienced managers and partners on varied assignments, building your career while delivering high-quality services to owner-managed businesses, charities and growing

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ experience in an accountancy practice.
• Exposure to audit assignments.
• Willingness to study toward ACA/ACCA; study support available.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with and leading sections of audit assignments for a varied client portfolio.
• Planning audit fieldwork and preparing audit documentation.
• Conducting audit testing and analytical review procedures.
• Preparing audit files and supporting working papers.
• Liaising directly with clients and maintaining strong professional relationships.
• Attending client sites as part of audit assignments.
• Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts.
• Preparing financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Working closely with managers and senior team members on larger assignments.
• Ensuring work is completed accurately and within deadlines.
