Job summary

Reed in Crewe is recruiting an Audit & Accounts Assistant to join a growing accountancy firm. You'll gain hands-on exposure to both audit and accounts, working with seniors and managers on a varied client base.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an accountancy practice (audit, accounts or mixed role)
• Studying towards ACA/ ACCA (or looking to start)
• Good understanding of accounting principles
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
• Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude
• Organised, reliable and able to manage multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts for a range of clients
• Supporting audit assignments from planning through to completion
• Preparing working papers and audit documentation
• Assisting with basic tax computations and returns
• Liaising with clients to gather information and resolve queries
• Ensuring work is completed accurately and within deadlines
• Working closely with seniors and managers to develop technical skills
