Are you a proactive Audit & Accounts Assistant looking to work for an established dynamic accountancy practice?

Alexander Myerson has a well-known and enviable reputation across the North-West, located in the heart of Liverpool city centre. We are a young and dynamic team who are driving the business forward and looking for an Audit Assistant to join us. Our plans to develop our Audit team start with you.

In our business we know that it is more than just numbers; it is a service-led business, and this role will require you to build relationships with clients, to help ensure our service is personal to all clients. We encourage collaboration throughout the business and want you to be a part of our big plans.

Skills we need from you
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and resolve queries efficiently
  • Meet monthly planning targets
  • Complete audit and accounts work to a high standard for a variety of clients
  • Complete corporation tax returns
  • Prepare management accounts
  • Complete VAT returns
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (in particular Excel) and accountancy software such as IRIS, TaxCalc, Xero, Quickbooks, Sage
  • Assist junior members of the team and provide on-the-job training/feedback
  • Proactive in your approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Must have previous experience working within a UK practice environment
  • Working towards ACA or ACCA
  • Complete personal tax returns for a portfolio of clients in conjunction with the completion of accounts
  • Commercial mindset
