Key tasks include pure tone audiometry, masking, and comprehensive adult hearing rehabilitation services with first assessments, hearing aid fittings, and individual care planning.

Qualifications

• Degree in Audiology or equivalent with clinical placements.
• Experience with paediatric patients is desirable.
• Excellent verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct first assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Fit hearing aids using real-ear measurements and fine-tune as needed.
• Provide rehabilitation advice and refer when appropriate.
• Support audiology cases during ENT clinics and ensure proper notes.

Earn up to £500 per day on a self-employed basis with weekend working across the Lincolnshire area:

Key Responsibilities

• Pure Tone Audiometry: Conduct precise and accurate hearing tests.
• Full Masking: Perform comprehensive masking procedures.
• Comprehensive Adult Hearing Rehabilitation Service: Includes first assessments, hearing aid fitting, and individual care plan development.
• Rehabilitation Advice: Offer guidance to patients and carers.
• Diagnostic Procedures: Perform tests during ENT clinics for children.
• Support Specialist Audiologists: Assist with cases as required.
• Professional Development: Maintain and document your growth.

Systems To Be Used

• Auditbase: Audiology clinical system
• Careflow: Hospital's main PAS system
• Big Hand: Digital dictation for reporting
• Kiosk: For outcoming patient attendances

Duties to include

• Conduct first assessments following guidelines and protocols.
• Develop and implement individual patient treatment plans.
• Fit the most appropriate hearing aid using real ear measurements.
• Provide advice on assistive listening devices and refer to other agencies as needed.
• Fine-tune hearing aids to meet patient requirements.
• Identify patients needing additional rehabilitation and refer them to a specialist Audiologist.
• Assist with vestibular assessments and operate related equipment.
• Perform timely diagnostic tests during ENT clinics.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date patient notes and information.
• Understand patient pathways and maintain accurate waiting list data.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Relevant degree in Audiology or equivalent with completed clinical placements
• Experience with paediatric patients
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Flexibility to travel across the North Lincolnshire area
