Audio-Visual Commissioning Engineer - Higher Education

We are seeking an experienced Audio-Visual Commissioning Engineer with a strong background in AV systems to work with our Higher Education client. The role involves on-site commissioning and configuration programming of AV systems.

Essential Experience

• Experience using Audio Visual Remote Management tools such as Crestron Fusion, Utelogy, or similar.
• Excellent AV skills, including configuring AV systems.
• Practical experience with administering Crestron-based control systems in a service environment.
• Hands-on commissioning skills, including IP setup, device configuration, and sign-off.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking principles and familiarity with common Internet protocols (e.g., HTTP, SMTP, LDAP, SFTP/SSH).
• Industry-standard qualification in AV systems, such as AVIXA CTS.
• Problem-solving skills with attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical methodologies.
• Good communication skills, capable of explaining technical issues to non-specialists and maintaining a customer-focused approach.
• Experience working on-site environments, adhering to health and safety procedures.
• Proficiency with common software applications, including email and office software.

Desirable Experience

• Experience working in a Higher Education environment.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD for wiring schematics and M&E drawings.
• Experience with lecture capture solutions like Panopto.
• Use of fault logging systems.
• Knowledge of Digital Signage technologies.
• Crestron system experience.

This position is based on-site full-time in central London, with a pay rate of £267-£350 per day inside IR35, depending on experience.
