Job Description

The Systems Engineer will be responsible for the design, programming, and commissioning of commercial audio visual, control, and video conference solutions in the UK and Europe. This includes writing and implementing AV control systems (AMX/Crestron/Extron), DSP setup, and network integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Audio DSP programming - Configure, test, and commission DSP devices based on system design and functionality requirements.
• Network Configuration - Integrate AV controls and monitoring into client networks.
• Engineering support - Provide technical support in the design and functionality of systems control.
• Systems Testing - Assist in-house and field testing of systems with integrated control.
• Product Development - Develop standardizations for touch panel interfaces and control code development to streamline programming costs. Report and document any problematic products.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies offered by Visavvi and related manufacturers.
• Control System Programming - Develop source code and touch panel files for control systems based on schematic diagrams and project scope.

Key Skills and Experience

• Experience with at least one programming environment: Crestron, AMX, or Extron.
• Ability to read and understand schematics, wiring diagrams, and architectural drawings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and basic office skills.
• Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Thorough understanding of audio-visual systems.
• Knowledge of control systems programming across various manufacturers.
• Solid understanding of networks and their setup.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose system malfunctions.
