We are currently seeking an Audio Engineer to join our client’s team and play a key role in the audio-visual production of live events. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Dante networking and a solid all-round knowledge of AV systems.

Key Tasks:
- Operate sound, lighting, and audio-visual equipment for events.
- Ensure all rooms are set up with the correct equipment and securely in line with H&S procedures one hour prior to the client’s arrival.
- De-rig equipment efficiently and safely as per the AV weeksheet, function sheets, and amendment forms.
- Ensure all AV equipment is used safely and correctly by colleagues, freelance staff, and clients.
- Understand and explain the correct usage and application of all audio-visual equipment to clients and colleagues upon request.
- Communicate changes of an event to colleagues to ensure smooth running.
Management of audio-visual equipment:
- Maintain clear records of audio-visual equipment held by the Conference Centre.
- Undertake basic first-line maintenance of in-house AV equipment.
- Advise the Audio-Visual manager on stock levels and equipment defects.
- Store equipment safely and correctly, returning it to storage when not in use.
- Protect equipment from damage during transportation.
- Keep storage areas tidy and accessible.
- Repair and maintain equipment and leads as required.
Management of events:
- Experience with Yamaha and Allen & Heath digital audio desks in a live environment (Yamaha QL and Allen & Heath Qu Desks).
- Experience with Dante networks.
- Knowledge of D&B audio systems (preferable).
- Experience in hybrid events and live streaming using VMIX and OBS (preferable).
- Knowledge of MS Teams, Zoom, or other online conferencing platforms.
- Communicate with clients during events to accommodate late changes and additions.
- Assist conference sales executives with show rounds and client queries in the absence of the AV Manager and Senior Technician, taking precise notes for the AV Department.
- Assist clients with last-minute requests and ensure extra equipment requests are signed off by the client.
- Maintain politeness and professionalism with all clients at all times.
