Job description

Are you ready to take your Sound Designer skills to the next level?

We are looking for a talented Sound Designer with at least 2 years of experience in sound design, ideally within the gaming or entertainment industry. This role combines creative sound design, audio implementation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, engaging player experiences.

What You Will Do

As a Sound Designer, you will work closely with the Game Design, Art, and Development teams to create high-quality audio that enhances gameplay, elevates the user experience, and strengthens the emotional engagement of our games. From slot machines to multiplayer experiences, your role is to ensure that each sound effect, musical score, and audio cue feels purposeful and polished. You’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimising audio assets that fit the aesthetic and gameplay needs of our diverse game portfolio. You'll participate in early-stage conceptualisation all the way through to post-production and testing. Your creative input will be key in shaping the overall sensory identity of our games.

Summary Of Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Game Designers, Developers, and Artists to define the audio direction and requirements for new games;
  • Design and produce sound effects, ambient soundscapes, and user interface audio;
  • Compose and edit background music that fits the theme and pacing of each game;
  • Implement and fine-tune audio elements using middleware or game engine integration tools;
  • Conduct audio testing and ensure consistency, clarity, and quality across all platforms and devices;
  • Maintain organised libraries of reusable audio assets and templates;
  • Ensure compliance with licensing requirements and industry standards for all audio used;
  • Assist in creative ideation, contributing to overall game experience concepts and player psychology analysis;
  • Take part in brainstorming and reviews of other games in production, offering audio-focused feedback.

What You'll Need To Have

  • Strong knowledge of audio production, sound design, and music composition;
  • Proficiency in audio editing software (e.g., Pro Tools, Reaper, Adobe Audition, Logic Pro);
  • Familiarity with audio implementation tools such as FMOD, Wwise, or Unity/Unreal audio systems;
  • A passion for games, including a good understanding of the iGaming space and audio trends in casino games;
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently across multiple projects;
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work within a multi-disciplinary team;
  • Knowledge of audio standards and file formatting for mobile and web platforms;
  • Strong organisational skills, with experience managing sound libraries and naming conventions;
  • Experience in integrating audio with animations and game events is a plus.

Other Duties And Responsibilities

  • Participate in team-wide brainstorming sessions;
  • Contribute to the refinement of production processes and best practices;
  • Stay up to date with trends and innovations in audio for games;
  • Provide creative support for marketing or promotional materials, as needed;
  • Help strategise sound direction for future products and updates.

Qualifications

  • A degree or certification in Sound Design, Music Production, Game Audio, or a related field;
  • At least 2+ years of experience in sound design, ideally in the gaming or entertainment industry;
  • A portfolio demonstrating sound design, composition, and audio implementation in games or multimedia projects;
  • Experience working with game development teams and cross-functional roles is highly preferred.
