NEP Group UK is hiring an Audio Assistant (Sound) to join a hands-on broadcasting team in Bracknell. Start your career supporting live productions, from on-site setups to OB and flypack operations.

You will work with experienced Audio Engineers to learn advanced broadcast audio technology and gain practical, field-based experience. The role offers growth toward Audio Engineer and senior engineering positions, with opportunities across UK productions and occasional international travel.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in sound, technology and live production.
• Studied audio or sound engineering and/or have related education.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a broadcast environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, test and maintain professional broadcast audio equipment.
• Set up and de-rig audio systems for OBs and live events.
• Learn how audio systems are configured and operated in OB trucks and flypacks.
• Assist with cabling, microphone deployment, communications and routing.
• Support engineers with equipment checks and fault-finding.
• Maintain equipment records and support technical documentation.
• Learn and apply best practices in broadcast engineering and safety.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Logistics and Production teams.
