Are you looking for occasional hours in an exciting customer service environment? Do you enjoy interacting with visitors from across the UK and around the world? Do you need flexibility to work when it suits your schedule?

The National Waterways Museum Gloucester is a vibrant visitor attraction within Gloucester Docks. We aim to provide all visitors with a fantastic welcome and memorable experience.

We host exciting activities and events throughout the year. We are recruiting individuals with a strong customer service focus, a welcoming attitude, and flexibility to work at our welcome desk, in our on-site shop, and café to ensure every visitor's experience is memorable. Experience in a café is not essential, as training will be provided, but it is a plus.

As a Casual Attraction Assistant, you will primarily work in the museum's welcome area, greeting visitors from around the world. Your role is to make each visit special. It may include welcoming tour groups, selling merchandise, assisting with events, working in the café, light cleaning, guiding families, selling ice cream, engaging with boaters, helping with demonstrations, and collaborating with volunteers.

The Canal & River Trust is one of the UK’s largest charities, maintaining 2,000 miles of canals, rivers, docks, and reservoirs, along with museums, archives, and historic buildings. Learn more at https://canalrivertrust.org.uk/about-us
