The Wirral school is seeking an Attendance Officer to join its pastoral and administration team. You will monitor attendance, follow up absences, and work with pupils, families and staff to improve engagement and attendance.

Strong communication, organisation and IT skills are essential. The role involves safeguarding duties and regular liaison with external agencies, and a competitive salary is offered dependent on experience.

• Previous experience in attendance, school administration or pastoral support.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail.
• Confidence using IT systems and maintaining accurate records.

• Ability to work collaboratively with pupils, families and colleagues.

Responsabilidades

• Monitoring daily attendance and maintaining accurate records.
• Contacting parents and carers regarding unexplained absences.
• Identifying patterns of absence and persistent non-attendance.
• Working with pastoral teams and senior leaders to support attendance plans.
• Preparing attendance reports and updating school information systems.
• Supporting meetings with families and external agencies where appropriate.
• Handling confidential information professionally and in line with school procedures.
