Job summary

Avon Valley Academy in Wiltshire is seeking a confident Attendance Officer to monitor and manage student attendance. You will work closely with the Pastoral team to safeguard pupils, recording attendance in the MIS, producing reports, and liaising with parents, staff and external agencies on absences.

You should have GCSEs in English and Maths, excellent communication skills, and a professional, confidential approach. This part-time role runs 32.5 hours per week over 39 weeks per year.

Qualifications

• Record and monitor student attendance using the school's MIS.
• Produce attendance reports and communicate with pupils, parents and staff.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Demonstrate strong ICT skills and willingness to learn the MIS.

Responsibilities

• Record and track daily attendance accurately.
• Coordinate attendance monitoring meetings as required.
