Job summary

Ormiston Shelfield Community Academy is seeking an Attendance Officer to promote attendance and punctuality across the school. You will work with pupils, families and staff to remove barriers to learning and ensure pupils are safe and engaged.

The role monitors attendance records, supports families to improve attendance, contributes to safeguarding, and implements early interventions where concerns arise, in line with academy policies.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting safeguarding and attendance in a school setting.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Commitment to promoting inclusive learning.
• Ability to work with pupils and families.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain attendance records.
• Support families to improve pupil attendance.
• Collaborate with safeguarding and pastoral teams to ensure safety and continuity of learning.
