This is an exciting opportunity to join The Dorcan Academy as an Attendance Officer, playing a key role in promoting excellent attendance and supporting students to engage fully in their education. The successful candidate will work closely with pastoral leaders, the Assistant Headteacher for Attendance and Safeguarding, parents, carers and external agencies to monitor attendance, identify concerns early and help remove barriers to regular school attendance.

The role combines accurate administration and data management with meaningful interaction with students and families, ensuring attendance records are maintained to a high standard and that attendance procedures are implemented consistently and effectively across the academy. The successful candidate will contribute to a culture of high expectations, working proactively to support students in achieving positive attendance and punctuality.

This position would suit a highly organised, resilient and personable individual with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive information confidentially. We are looking for someone who is committed to improving outcomes for young people and who believes that strong attendance is fundamental to every student's success and future opportunities.
