Job summary

William Ellis School in London is seeking an Attendance Officer to join our pastoral team. You will record attendance for Year 7–11, compile reports, and liaise with internal staff and external agencies to ensure accurate attendance data.

The role is part-time (15 hours per week, 8am–11am, Monday to Friday), term time only, fixed term to 31 December 2026. You will support the Assistant Headteacher and attend pastoral meetings as required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in secondary education preferred.
  • Ability to handle attendance data accurately and confidentially.
  • Strong communication with staff and external agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Record attendance figures for Year 7 to Year 11 and liaise with internal and external agencies on student attendance.
  • Provide information to the Assistant Headteacher and attend pastoral meetings as required.
  • Be the first point of contact for data reports to staff and check externally submitted Attendance Data.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the school.
