Job summary

Colne Valley High School is recruiting an Attendance Leader on a permanent contract, 37 hours per week, term time plus 5 days. You will lead attendance across the school and implement the Attendance Strategy, working directly with students, families, staff and external agencies to improve attendance and punctuality.

This role requires excellent organisation, resilience under pressure and proficient use of Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks under pressure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ICT tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead attendance across the school and implement the Attendance Strategy.
• Work directly with students, families, staff and external agencies to improve attendance and punctuality.
• Identify concerns early, undertake regular home visits, and maintain a visible presence in school and within the local community.
• Ensure students with poor attendance are identified, challenged and supported with clear intervention and escalation where needed.
• Demonstrate a proactive, boots-on-the-ground approach and strong teamwork.
