Job summary

St Pauls CE Primary School in Stockport is seeking an Attendance Lead and Family Support to improve attendance and support pupils and families. The role is based at St Pauls CE Primary School and involves working with the school community to ensure every pupil has the best possible chance to succeed.

You will track attendance data, implement evidence-based interventions using DfE guidance, and collaborate with families and external agencies to remove barriers to learning and raise attendance

Qualifications

  • Experience with children and families in educational or support settings.
  • Knowledge of DfE attendance guidance and evidence-based practice.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

  • Leading on attendance and working proactively with pupils, families and external agencies to maintain and improve attendance.
  • Using DfE guidance and research to implement evidence-based approaches that improve and sustain exceptional levels of school attendance.
  • Providing support and guidance to families to help overcome barriers to learning and attendance.
  • Maintaining accurate records and monitoring the impact of interventions.
