Job description

Job Title: Attendance Improvement Leader

Location: Milton Keynes

Salary: Grade 6 (£30,024 - £35,412 - Per Annum)

(£26,133.75 - £30,823.61- actual, pro-rata, per annum)

Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent

Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday (8:00am - 4:00pm) and Friday 8:00am - 3:30pm) [Term-time plus 1 Week]

About You:

The Milton Keynes Academy are seeking an Attendance Improvement Leader. As an Attendance Improvement Leader, you will work closely with the Attendance Improvement Manager and the wider school staff to drive initiatives that increase pupil attendance. Your role will be key in fostering a positive attendance culture at our Academy, ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed.

Our Ideal candidate will have:

  • Support the Attendance Improvement Manager in implementing strategies to improve pupil attendance.
  • Collaborate with teaching and support staff to monitor attendance and identify barriers.

About the Attendance Department/Team:

The Attendance Team plays a vital role in promoting and maintaining high levels of pupil attendance across the Academy. The team is currently led by the Attendance Improvement Manager and includes two dedicated Attendance Support Officers. Together, they work collaboratively to implement the school’s attendance strategy, support vulnerable learners, and foster a positive culture of attendance throughout the Academy.

As part of this dynamic team, the Attendance Improvement Leader will have the opportunity to contribute directly to attendance initiatives, engage with families, and help ensure every student is supported to attend school regularly and on time.
