Job summary

Glory Farm Primary School is seeking a dedicated Home School Link Worker to support families of disadvantaged and vulnerable children, strengthen home–school links and improve attendance. This 10-hour-per-week role, ideally across 2 days, is a fixed-term appointment until 31 August 2027, term-time plus INSET days, working with the Inclusion Team and external agencies.

You will undertake home visits, provide emotional support, signpost services, maintain records and support Team Around the Family

Qualifications

• Calm, empathetic and patient when working with children and families.
• Experience in a school or educational setting is required.
• Experience supporting SEND, behavioural, emotional or mental health needs.

Responsibilities

• Support improvements in attendance and punctuality with the Senior Leadership Team.
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers.
• Provide guidance and practical support to families, including parenting advice.
• Undertake home visits in line with procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Support safeguarding and signpost families to services as needed.
• Lead or support Team Around the Family processes and liaise with external agencies.
