Smart Teachers seeks a proactive School Attendance Officer for an alternative provision in Ealing. The role focuses on monitoring attendance, engaging with pupils and families, and coordinating with pastoral and teaching staff to drive improvement.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and maintaining accurate daily attendance records
• Following up on pupil absences and persistent lateness
• Contacting parents and carers to discuss attendance concerns and identify any barriers to attendance
• Building positive relationships with pupils, families and school staff
• Identifying patterns of absence and escalating concerns where appropriate
• Supporting the school with attendance improvement strategies and action plans
• Carrying out attendance-related administration, record keeping and reporting
