Job summary

Essa Academy seeks an Attendance Manager to lead the academy attendance team, delivering operational and administrative support to drive whole-school attendance strategies and improve attendance and persistent absence in line with targets.

You will work with parents/carers to boost attendance, helping pupils maximise learning opportunities in a supportive environment. This permanent role is full-time with 37 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience leading the attendance team in a school or similar setting.
• Ability to implement whole-school attendance strategies and monitor targets.
• Strong administrative skills with safeguarding awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead the academy attendance team in providing operational and administrative support to promote whole academy attendance strategies.
• Help parents/carers to improve their children’s attendance thus improving learning opportunities.
• Work to improve attendance and persistent absence in line with academy targets.
