Manchester Enterprise Academy (MEA) within Prospere Learning Trust is hiring an Attendance Officer to improve attendance and engagement across the school. You will work with pupils, families, leaders and external agencies to remove barriers to attendance and ensure access to education.

Role requires safeguarding knowledge and experience in education or related settings. 35 hours/week, term-time plus three weeks (41 weeks/year), starting salary £29,969 (full-time equivalent £33,143), Grade 6,

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children, young people and families.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection and attendance-related legislation.
• Ability to manage complex cases and make balanced decisions.
• Willingness to coordinate home visits and engage with external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Implement and support school attendance policies and procedures.
• Manage a caseload of attendance cases with accurate documentation.
• Track, analyse and report attendance data to inform interventions.
• Work with SLT, staff and external agencies on attendance initiatives.
• Coordinate home visits with partner agencies, including lone or joint visits.
