Summary:

The Cprime Solutions Architect - Atlassian works at the intersection of customers, sales, and delivery to shape high-quality Atlassian solutions and ensure they can be delivered successfully.

The role is responsible for understanding customer business and technical requirements, translating those requirements into solution architectures and implementation approaches, and producing credible solution estimates with clear assumptions, dependencies and scope boundaries.

The Solutions Architect plays a key role throughout the pre‑sales lifecycle, including customer discovery, solution workshops, demonstrations and proof of concepts, RFP responses, estimation and Statements of Work.

Success requires strong Atlassian technical knowledge alongside commercial judgement, client‑facing credibility and a practical understanding of implementation risk.

How this role works with the Atlassian Growth team:

This role will operate as a close technical partner to the Atlassian Growth and Sales teams, supporting opportunities from early customer conversations through to a delivery‑ready Statement of Work.

We are looking for someone who can combine deep Atlassian expertise with strong commercial judgement: helping customers clarify what they need, shaping credible solutions, identifying follow‑on opportunities, estimating work responsibly and ensuring that what is sold can be delivered successfully.

Outcomes sought:
  • Lead technical discovery with customers, understanding business objectives, current‑state architecture, requirements, constraints, and dependencies
  • Translate customer requirements into appropriate Atlassian solution architectures and implementation approaches
  • Produce high-quality estimates for implementation work, including fixed‑price engagements, with clear assumptions, exclusions, dependencies and scope boundaries
  • Identify technical, delivery, and commercial risks early enough for them to be addressed before commitments are made
  • Support sales opportunities through customer workshops, demonstrations, proof of concepts, RFP/RFI responses, and Statements of Work
  • Build credibility and trusted relationships with customer stakeholders, explaining both what is possible with Atlassian and the practical implications of different solution choices
  • Work collaboratively with sales and delivery teams to ensure that solutions sold can be delivered successfully, and that handover from pre‑sales into implementation is effective
  • Maintain strong, current knowledge of Atlassian products, platform capabilities, ecosystem developments and Marketplace applications
  • Understand emerging Atlassian capabilities and product direction and assess where they create meaningful opportunities or implementation considerations for customers
  • Provide technical leadership across solutions involving Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence and the wider Atlassian platform, with appropriate knowledge of areas such as Rovo, Jira Align, Bitbucket, and relevant Marketplace applications
  • Advise customers on architecture, configuration, integration, migration, security, governance and operating model considerations
  • Design solutions that make appropriate use of standard Atlassian capability while avoiding unnecessary customisation and downstream technical debt
  • Remain sufficiently hands‑on to validate solution approaches, support demonstrations and proof of concepts, and provide technical guidance during implementation
  • Work effectively with incomplete information, knowing when there is sufficient clarity to produce a responsible estimate and when further discovery is required
  • Help shape opportunities so that assessments, discovery engagements and initial implementations create a clear path to appropriate follow‑on work where there is clear customer value.
What you’ll bring:
  • Human: thoughtful, intentional, ethical, ingenious
  • Curious: open‑minded, questioning, inquisitive
  • Collaborative: adaptable, humble, self‑aware, transparent
  • Performance‑driven: client‑focused, leadership, outcomes, results
  • Pioneering: trailblazing, risk‑taking, up for a challenge
  • Bold: confident, courageous, decisive, direct
The must haves:
  • Significant experience designing and delivering Atlassian solutions in complex customer environments
  • Strong current knowledge of Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence and the broader Atlassian platform and ecosystem
  • Demonstrable experience conducting customer discovery and translating business and technical requirements into solution approaches
  • Experience estimating professional services engagements and defining assumptions, dependencies, exclusions and scope boundaries
  • Strong understanding of fixed‑price delivery risk and the judgement required to create commercially credible estimates without creating uncontrolled delivery exposure
  • Experience supporting pre‑sales activity including solution workshops, demonstrations, proof of concepts, RFP/RFI responses and Statements of Work
  • Strong client‑facing communication skills, with the ability to build credibility with both technical and senior business stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate complex technical decisions in terms of customer outcomes, trade‑offs and implementation implications
  • Practical understanding of Atlassian implementation challenges including migration, integrations, data, security, governance, configuration and adoption
  • Ability to work closely with sales, delivery and engineering teams, providing continuity from early opportunity shaping through estimation, contracting, handover and implementation
  • Ability to operate independently across multiple opportunities while maintaining high standards of documentation, estimation and follow‑through
  • Ability to become a trusted long‑term technical partner to the Atlassian Growth team, developing familiarity with our customers, commercial model, estimation approach and ways of working
  • Ability to shape solutions that can be successfully delivered across distributed teams and capability centres, with clear handover, assumptions and ownership boundaries
  • Confidence to challenge assumptions, requirements and proposed scope where necessary to protect customer outcomes, delivery quality and commercial viability
Desirable:
  • Atlassian certifications relevant to the role
  • Experience with Jira Align and enterprise strategy/planning use cases
  • Experience with Rovo and emerging Atlassian AI capabilities
  • Experience with Atlassian Cloud migrations and enterprise‑scale transformation programmes
  • Understanding of Agile, SDLC, ITSM and frameworks such as SAFe or ITIL.
We all have our part to play:
  • We’re committed to our vision and demonstrate behaviours which are in line with our core values
  • We ensure that all aspects of our work are delivered with a customer focus to all internal and external users in line with our internal/external service offer
  • We uphold our commitment to inclusion, equality and diversity
  • We’re aware of our personal responsibilities regarding health and safety and ensure that our Health & Safety policies are adhered to in all aspects of our work
  • We treat all data with respect, ensuring we only use it for the correct purpose and is handled safely and securely
  • We promote and achieve Value for Money (VfM) within our areas and across the organisation.
