Job summary

Nazareth Prep seeks an experienced Athletic Director to oversee K-12 athletic programs at the Emsworth Campus. You will lead scheduling, staffing, and compliance with governing bodies while promoting faith-based values and student development.

The role requires 3–5 years in athletic administration, strong communication, and the ability to work evenings and weekends. Familiarity with local athletics governance is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Administration, Physical Education, or Sports Management preferred.
• 3–5 years in athletic administration or coaching, preferably in a secondary school.
• Working knowledge of PIAA, WPIAL, and related rules.
• Commitment to Catholic education and Nazareth Prep's mission.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Valid Pennsylvania background clearances or ability to obtain before start.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with athletic association regulations and student eligibility.
• Manage schedules, facilities, transportation, and game-day operations.
• Recruit, supervise, and evaluate coaching staff with required certifications.
• Promote character development and Catholic values across programs.
• Lead Parent Athletic Association and coordinate volunteers.
• Oversee athletic budget, equipment, fundraising, and events.
• Serve as primary contact for athletic communications and rosters.
• Foster a positive, inclusive athletic culture aligned with the mission.
