Newcastle United Women Academy is seeking an Academy Physical Performance Lead to design and deliver age-appropriate, evidence-informed athletic development programmes for NUW players. You will work with coaches, medical staff and the multidisciplinary team to maximise physical potential and reduce injury risk across the academy.

You'll lead testing, monitor progression, support rehabilitation, deliver sessions on matchdays, maintain records and educate coaches on nutrition, recovery and healthy

Formación

• Proven experience delivering physical development programmes.
• Knowledge of long-term athletic development principles.
• Strong communication and teamwork in a multidisciplinary setting.
• Ability to design, deliver and review S&C programmes for youth athletes.
• Experience supporting injury prevention and rehabilitation.

Responsabilidades

• Design and deliver strength and conditioning programmes aligned to NUW Performance Plan.
• Conduct physical testing and monitor player progression.
• Support rehabilitation, return-to-play and injury prevention.
• Provide physical performance support during training and matchdays.
• Maintain player records and databases per standards.
• Educate coaches to integrate physical development into technical work.
• Deliver player education on nutrition and recovery.
• Maintain and develop monitoring systems.
• Support equipment and facilities management.
• Contribute to department projects and continuous improvement.
