Job summary

Scottish Swimming invites applications for a Board Director - Athlete Engagement and Experience. The appointee will help shape strategic decisions and ensure the athlete voice is reflected at board level.

We welcome current or former athletes and value lived experience. No prior board experience is required; attendance at around six board meetings per year (typically in Stirling) and the AGM in September are expected.

• Lived experience as an athlete
• Insight into coaching and performance environments
• Understanding of the athlete journey
• Willingness to learn and contribute at Board level

Responsibilities

• Attend approximately six Board meetings per year (typically in Stirling)
• Participate in the AGM in September and occasional additional meetings or events
• Shape strategic decisions and provide constructive challenge and support
• Bring the athlete perspective to ensure athlete experiences inform the board’s direction
