We are seeking an Assurance Manager to join our Engineering team.
The Assurance Manager will provide independent engineering assurance that Pullman Rail consistently delivers safe, compliant and high-quality engineering outputs. Leading our Quality, Competence and Inspection functions, you will ensure robust governance, effective assurance processes and continual improvement across our engineering operations.
Working closely with Engineering, Production and Support Functions, you will drive compliance with customer, regulatory and company requirements, while promoting a culture of quality, competence and operational excellence.
This is a key leadership role within a safety-critical engineering environment, providing independent challenge and assurance to ensure our engineering activities meet the highest standards of safety, quality and performance.
We are looking for an experienced assurance or quality professional with a proven track record of leading quality, compliance or engineering assurance activities within a regulated engineering environment, ideally within the rail industry or another safety-critical sector.
You will have extensive experience of Quality Management Systems, internal and external auditing, engineering governance and competence management, together with a strong understanding of engineering standards, product verification and continuous improvement. Experience of ISO 9001 is essential, while knowledge of RISAS, RISQS, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 would be highly advantageous.
As a confident leader, you will be capable of developing high-performing teams, influencing stakeholders at all levels and providing constructive challenge where engineering standards or compliance may be compromised. You will possess excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex information, manage competing priorities and deliver meaningful improvements that support both operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Note that you must hold the permanent right to work in the UK. We are not currently able to provide sponsorship.
